FRH may be accessed through the Mussoorie-Naugaon-Purola-Mori motor road further up from Jarmola. It is at an elevation of 1145m. The FRH built in 1898 is beautifully placed across the Tons river which has be be crossed by a suspension bridge built by the department. The old FRH register has very interesting entries. There is a well laid out garden in front with a gazebo to soak in the serenity and the sounds of the river. View of the kedarkantha peak, Montad peak and the Tons River flowing peacefully is a delight from the FRH.
