Joshimath FRH is further 40km from Birahi. It is at an elevation of 2040m built in 1962. At 15km from the FRH is Pandukeshwar which is a place where the Pandavas are born. It is said that king Pandu meditated here with his wife kunti and died here. It has the temple of Yogdhyan Badri. The Vridha Badri temple at Animath about 7km short of Joshimath.
