The Bhatwari FRH was built in 1864 at an elevation of 1575m. It provides an excellent view of the Bhagirathi valley. Most popular trek from here is to Dayara Bugyar at an elevation of 3048m. This meadow second to none in natural beauty can be approached from Ranithal 10km and Barsu 5km, both serving as base camps. On the way to Barsu is Bharnala tal at 14km.
