Bhaironghati Forest Rest House

Bhaironghati Forest Rest House is 8km short of Gangotri at an elevation of 2794m. It is a recently built FRH in 1994. Jadganga river cuts a deep gorge & meets Bhagirathi River just below the FRH. The velly of Bhaironghati has one of the steepest gorges cut by the river. The road bridge over Jadganga is very high and can give the most leveled heads vertigo. The ancient Bhairav temple here lends its name to the valley.
