Rameshwar FRH at Rameshwar is 48 km from Champawat on the Lohaghat Gangolihat road near village Botari. Almora is 42 km from here. The road takes a steady climb from Artloa the turning point to go to Jageshwar. It was built in 1927. The highlight of the FRH is the confluence of Ramganga and Sarju which are among the five most important rivers of Uttarakhand. while walking along the river a large number of aquatic birds can be sighted. The stretch of the river form Rameshwar to Pancheshwar offers excellent Mahaseer angling and is still and anglers paradise. There was angling records mentioned in the FRH register form old timers. The local communities have formed an association to promote angling as a sport to support livelihood.
