At Balphakram National Park, Meghalaya,
spotting a magpie-robin is a memorable occasion. Some of the other birds here
are ¬ hoopoe, longtailed broadbill, scarlet minivet, Burmese roller,
blue-throated barbet, Himalayan black bulbul. You could also indulge in a

How to Reach :
There are several ways.
But the best way is via Tura. Come to Tura either from Guwahati or from
Goalpara town.Guwahati to Tura is 226km and Goalpara to Tura is 125km.There are
plenty of night super buses from Guwahati and day buses/sumos from Goalpara.
From Tura it is 120km to Baghmara. From here one has to hair a SUV for the
Balphrakram tour.The rent is bargainable at Rs1500/day(Excluding fuel) But it
is better to hair a SUV from Guwahati or from Goalpara itself as it’ll work out
to be much less expensive.
By Air:
Airways is found to be the easiest means of getting into Meghalaya. Guwahati is
the nearest airport of Meghalaya. Air transport of Meghalaya also offers
helicopter service that operates between Guwahati, Tura and Shillong.
By Rail:
The nearest railway station to Meghalaya is placed at Guwahati which is linked
to all the major cities of the country.
By Road:
it is possible to reach Meghalaya through neighbouring states and periodic
buses are provided from Guwahati and Assam. The town named Tura is dwelled
