The beautiful FRH (Forest Rest House) at Soni built in 1906, located on the Ranikhet-Ramnagar road lies amidst chir and oak forests. IT is at an altitude of 1600, 15km from Ranikhet. A perennial stream flows near the FRH which attracts birds and wildlife. The FRH is built in stone masonry with pointing in groves style, wooden flooring inside the rooms and a huge verandah covered with stone tiles. The tin roof is Surpported on wooden trusses by strong stone pillars. True arches cover the window and doors. It is a very beautiful FRH indeed.
